History
Pastor Wayman Mitchell, the senior pastor of the Potter’s House in Prescott, AZ, founded the Christian Fellowship Ministries in the early 1970’s. It is now comprised of more than 2300 congregations in over 120 countries.
In 1973 Harold and Mona Warner were sent to Tucson AZ where they began the Door Christian Fellowship church. The Las Vegas Christian center was founded in 1981 when Lee and Connie Stubbs were sent out of the Door Christian Fellowship church to pioneer a church in Las Vegas NM. The church has been pastored by Richard and Yolanda Rubi, Fred and Norma Rubi and is now currently pastored by Pastor Ray and Patsy Rubi. Pastor Ray and Patsy have been here since 1997 and are patiently and diligently discipling these young men and women. Following the biblical example of world evangelism, some of these disciples are sent to start churches in other cities, states and nations. Under Ray Rubi’s steadfast leadership, The Las Vegas Christian Center is continuing to make disciples, plant churches and reach lost souls for the kingdom of God. Today, more than 30 churches worldwide can trace their roots back to The Las Vegas Christian Center. By the grace of God, the small church that started many years ago has become a thriving congregation.
What To Expect
The Las Vegas Christian Center in Las Vegas, NM is a Bible-based, Spirit filled, nondenominational family of believers. Our pastors and staff count it a privilege to welcome you to our church and minister to your spiritual needs. Ushers are available before, during and after each service to answer your questions and help guide you. A quality nursery and children’s ministry are available each service for infants and children up to ten years old. Regular services begin with praise and worship that will ready your heart for the preaching of God’s Word. After prayer requests and opening the service in prayer, we take an offering to honor the Lord. Announcements are followed by the biblical preaching of God’s Word and an altar call. We are excited to welcome you to The Las Vegas Christian Center Church and look forward to meeting you in person.
Worship
The focus of worship at The Las Vegas Christian Center is to provide an inviting atmosphere where men and women can experience, first-hand, the gracious and loving presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our desire to allow the Holy Spirit to create an openness in people’s hearts so that they may receive the preaching of the Word of God.
We invite you to join us at the beginning of each service for an uplifting time of praise and worship. You will be refreshed and encouraged in the tangible presence of God.
